We got the camper out again. Back to Lake Afton again. Clayton and
Jeffrey towed the trailer out Friday after work/school and set it all
up. Penny joined us later that night after work.

Gayle and Darlene invited us to Darlene’s birthday party with family and friends at their house. Penny and I checked it out and had a great time. They sure have a lot of kids and grandkids. We had a little rain but it turned out great anyway.

Gayle and Darlene invite us to spend the weekend at El Dorado State Park for a crew party with Gayle’s work friends. We took the trailer and Gayle and Darlene stayed with us. Lots of people showed up Saturday for the party. We went boating, tubing, swimming, fishing, and just plain visiting. We got to meet some really neat people and had a great time.

The band heads to Dighton, Kansas to headline the Dightons Backyard Bash. Penny and Jeffrey go as well and camp at the fairgrounds in Dighton. It is a 4 1/2 hour drive to Dighton from Wichita. We all meet out there for some barbeque, car show, and live music from 5 bands.

We went to Lake Afton again. This time Clayton’s band, Shagdaddy had a gig at a wedding reception. The reception was in a pavilion at Lake Afton. Louis, our lead singer is a friend of the groom. We camped at a site within a hundred yards or so away from the pavilion. Clayton went to play the gig from 6 to 9 on Saturday, but that didn’t cut into our camping fun too much!

Clayton and Penny spend the weekend at Lake Afton with Gayle and Darlene. We all stay in the pop-up trailer and Gayle and Darlend did most of the cooking. Even thought the weather was cold and windy on Saturday, we all really enjoyed relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Besides, Sunday the weather was beautiful! We celebrated Penny’s birthday as well.Penny decided a while back that this was how she wanted to spend her birthday, and she got her wish.
