Clayton takes a trip to Norman, Ok. to help transport Dave Johnson’s airplane to Wichita. Dave bought this airplane from a guy in Norman and has been waiting for the right weekend to round up his buddies and break it down and bring it back on a trailer. We all piched in and helped him out.

We went camping again! This time to El Dorado lake, about 1 hour from our house up the turnpike. There wan’t too many people there as it is still early in the season. We had a great time with Jeffrey and his friend Tyler. The weather was beautiful but got extremely windy on Sunday. We were going to stay Sunday night but decided to get out of the wind and came home Sunday afternoon. One of the awning poles got damaged during the wind, but should be fixable without too much trouble.

Easter at the Van Campen’s was fun for all. The family got together for egg hunting and food and good times.

We went to Lake Afton in the new trailer and had a great time. We took Jeffrey and his two friends, Timmy and Devin. The weather was windy the first night and the next morning, but great after that. The trailer worked great.

Jeffrey had another concert Tuesday. This time we got to see the orchestra and the glee club.

We had Christmas at the Van Campen household a little late this year. Peggy had some heart bypass surgery over Christmas and is recovering nicely. We are all grateful to be able to celebrate Christmas this January. We all got together and feasted and opened presents.

We returned form our Carnival cruise on the Carnival Conquest today. What a great time we had! Everyone had so much fun we are finally resting. It is tough to have that much fun for 7 days in the warm sun. Not really. We did it!
I thing the theme this year had to be giving Penny a hard time about her mashed potatoes.

Jeffrey had a band concert this October, his first at the local high school (Campus High). He did great! I shot some video and took a couple of pictures. The video is pretty good except for the fact that we sat behind ‘big ears’ with a tall head. Jeffrey is on the right in the third row back with the blonde hair and white t-shirt.As you can see from the picture, his grandparents came to cheer him on.

The fall festival was fun for everyone. We all attended the parade Saturday morning. Jeffrey got a chance to hang with his friend Tyler for the parade. He also hung out at the park where the festival was, most of the weekend.

Clayton and Penny enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Lake Afton camping on the lake. Jeffrey stayed at a friend’s house for the weekend and we enjoyed ourselves camping. It was nice to be alone for a couple of days.

The Labor Day picnic was a success! Steven, Chloe, Chandler, Chris, and Jennifer all came over for a cookout and swim party. We all had a lot of fun.
Chandler realy enjoyed the dog’s little pool.

Table Rock and Beaver lakes were a blast! We spent two nights at each and enjoyed some time away from home.Clayton played accoustic and enteratined the Brown brother’s stepdad at his 70th birthday party at his home on Beaver lake.
