12 Foot Craps Part 13

Posted June 20, 2015

After a close look at the casino craps table during my last visit, I decided the walls were too high on my table. I need to take about 2 inches off. The table bottom is about the right distance off the floor, but the chip trays and padded rail end up too high.

I disassembled the walls and cut each one on the table saw. Then reassembled it.

I also had to cut the green diamond ends to fit. I tried using the table saw directly but the rubber kept flopping around in the blade. I ended up putting the diamond end on a board, then a small board on top where it was cut, to sandwich the green rubber between two pieces of wood. This worked great!

Here is the table back together with shorter walls. I think it is about right.

Still putting polyurethane on the chip trays.

I need to get some foam and vinyl for the padded rail next.
